Starting Dreadlocks


Dreadlocks, sometimes referred to as dreads or locks, are basically matted ropes of hair that will form naturally if you neglect them. However, they can also be formed on purpose through various methods that allow you to control their shape and make them very attractive. There are several methods that can be used to achieve this, and that is exactly what I will review here.

As each technique is explained, I will highlight what specifically worked for me, but will also explain in detail the methods that have worked for others. It is important to keep in mind that these techniques can all lead to dreadlocks if done correctly, and for your particular type of hair, one technique may work better than the other. A few things to keep in mind are the size of the dreadlocks that you want, as well as your hair length and type.
